I set up Bleedinedge
in 2008 as a
digital consultancy, training company and development resource so I
that could work
with the best producers and broadcasters,
developing innovative new 360 degree formats, from Bafta nominated
kids’
game-shows to online dramas with shops and mobile virtual worlds.
I specialise in
developing and
delivering entertainment content, utilising games, television, the
internet and
mobile phones, most notably as Executive Producer on the BBC’s online
soap
Wannabes. Nowadays I spend a lot of my time training and speaking about
Multi-platform production and commerce, and have been lucky enough to
provide
training for Channel 4, the Entertainment
Master Class and Skillset,
as well
as speaking at conferences that include ITVT,Showcomotion,
Games Eden
and Cinekid.
As
well as listening to the sound of
my own voice, I’m currently working as a consultant with Gameware
Development to develop an international market for their
talents, ARTVPS,
a Cambridge based Technology
Company, developing a radical new rendering engine and Eye Film and
Television
working on their new interactive drama, Tempting Fates.
With the small amount
of time I’m
left with I’m developing an interactive movie called TXT, a great new
game-to-TV format for kids called GAJT and a few secret projects you’d
have to
buy me a shandy to find out about. Oh and I’m creating a Crowd Funded
Film Fund
called Who Wants to Make a Movie? (WW2MM)
This
year I was appointed to the
board of Northern
Fim and Media and
as a judge at the Rose
D’Or International
Media festival in Lucerne.
Prior
to launching Bleedinedge, I
worked for leading production company, nd the pioneering project
Fightbox, a BBC2/3 TV series that combined online gaming with the TV
style
Robot Wars. Mike's previous clients also include Channel 4,
Nickelodeon,Scalextric
and the BBC.
